How it works

From account to holding, step by step

Nothing here is hidden behind a signup wall. Here's exactly what happens at each stage, including the parts that take a little longer than you'd like.

Why we ask for KYC/AML checks

Before you can fund an account, we verify your identity, a process usually called "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and required under anti-money-laundering (AML) regulation in most jurisdictions we operate in, including the US and UK.

In practice, that means confirming your name, address, and date of birth, and usually a government-issued ID. Most checks complete automatically within minutes; some are reviewed manually and can take one to two business days.

Ways to fund your account

Bank transfer

Typically the lowest-cost way to fund your account, usually settling within one to three business days.

Debit card

Usually available for smaller, faster top-ups.

Existing gold transfer

For some vaulted products, transferring in gold already held elsewhere may be possible.

Settlement

How long things take

  • Buying vaulted gold: typically settles same business day once funds clear.
  • Physical bullion delivery: typically dispatched within a few business days of a cleared order, with exact timing depending on item and destination.
  • Selling / redemption: cash proceeds typically settle within a few business days; physical redemption takes longer.

Selling or redeeming your gold

  1. Request a sale or redemption from your account.
  2. Confirm the quoted price, which is live and time-limited.
  3. Choose cash settlement, or physical delivery where the product supports it.
  4. Funds or shipment are processed within the stated timeframe for your product.

Risk warning: Quoted prices reflect the market at the moment you confirm an order. Gold prices can move quickly, and past prices don't guarantee future ones. Read the full Risk Disclosure.
