Security & Vaulting

How your gold is actually secured

Vaulting is where trust matters most, so here's the layer-by-layer breakdown instead of a vague "your gold is safe with us."

Four layers, working together

Access control

Vaults use multi-person authorization and access logging, so no single individual can act alone.

Independent audits

Holdings are intended to be reconciled by an independent third party on a regular schedule.

Insured storage

Vaulted holdings are covered by insurance arranged through vault partners.

Segregated, allocated

Allocated bars are identified as belonging to specific clients, held separately from company assets.

Custody flow

From order to your account

Segregation

What "allocated" means in practice

Allocated storage means specific, identified bars are recorded as belonging to you, not a claim on a shared pool. That distinction matters: allocated holdings are intended to be clearly separable from the company's own assets and from other clients' holdings.

This is different from "unallocated" or "paper" gold, where you'd hold a claim against a pool rather than specific identified metal. See our Insights article comparing the three for the full breakdown.

Insurance

What's covered, and what isn't

Vaulted holdings are intended to be covered by insurance arranged through our vault partners, covering risks like theft and physical loss while in vault custody.

How reconciliation works

Vault holdings are intended to be independently reconciled against client records on a regular schedule, so that what's recorded in your account matches what's physically in the vault.
